The benefits we offer you as an Asurion employee are thoughtfully chosen to help you live as healthy and confident a life as you can. Every year, we take a fresh look at our offerings and make changes to improve them, make them more cost-effective across the board, and keep pace with changes in our industry and culture. No matter what, we remain committed to being a place you choose to work, and we know that your benefits are a big part of that.
The changes always affect some people more than others; that’s to be expected in a company with thousands of employees. If you need help choosing or navigating your benefits, connect with Asurion Benefits Central online, through the ABC mobile app or by phone at 844.968.6278, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 10 pm Eastern.
IMPORTANT! Be aware that if you do not take action during Open Enrollment, you will not have medical or prescription coverage in 2025, and any contributions you’re currently making to a pretax healthcare savings or dependent daycare account will end.
Here’s what you can expect for 2025. All changes described below are effective January 1, 2025.
The biggest change happening to our Asurion benefits will affect each employee differently depending on the coverage you have now, with some experiencing no change at all. It involves the administrator of our pharmacy benefits. CVS Caremark is taking over the management of prescriptions if you enroll in Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna or United Healthcare for your 2025 medical coverage.
If you take medication regularly, review this information on our new company-wide Pharmacy Benefits Manager, CVS Caremark.
Participants in the Gold medical coverage option will notice a lower coinsurance of 20% (from 25%). Compare your options and choose your coverage carefully, as the Gold option remains one of our most expensive plans.
Health Savings Account: You may save up to $4,250 with Employee Only coverage, and up to $8,500 with Family coverage in an HSA when you enroll in the Silver option. The IRS permits employees age 55+ to save an additional $1,000 above these limits.
Flexible Spending Account: You may save up to $3,200 in an FSA when you enroll in the Bronze Plus, Gold or Platinum option.
Our voluntary Legal Services coverage is expanding to include divorce, family care-giving support and reproductive support for no additional cost.
Because planning for retirement requires an individualized approach, Asurion has engaged financial planners to help guide you toward the saving and investing approach that’s uniquely right for you. With Retire Secure, you may take advantage of one-on-one virtual meetings with a retirement expert and helpful online resources all at no cost to you.
If you choose the Aetna, Anthem, Cigna or UnitedHealthcare network for next year – the four national insurance carriers – you will receive a medical ID card and a new prescription ID card from CVS Caremark. Keep in mind that you always have the option to download your medical insurance carrier’s mobile app to keep a digital copy of your medical ID card, along with claims details and contact information, as handy as your cell phone.
